Paolo Alberto Valenti – President
A journalist and producer at EuroNews, he has worked with leading Italian daily newspapers and magazines. He focuses mainly on international and cultural issues. His career path has taken him to the headquarters of the Italian news agency Ansa in Rome, then to the RAI as an author.
Founding President of ClubMediaFrance in 2004, which later became ClubMediaItalie, Paolo A. Valenti won the Prix Spécial du Jury Saint Vincent 2006. Based in Lyon, he organised the first historical exhibition on Benito Mussolini, at the Musée de la Résistance de Lyon, in 1997, accompanied by the publication of an art book published by Somogy (Paris). He has also run the press office for a number of Italian publishing houses and organised numerous events in Europe, including social events.
Paolo A. Valenti published in 2014 in Rome the book TUTTO IL FUOCO DEL MONDO (Armando Editore) dedicated to his trip to Afghanistan as a senior officer in the Italian Army Reserve. In this book, we find chronicle, history, testimony, collective and national memory. Whatever one’s choice of critical reading, one can recognise in the work love and dedication to the truth as the highest form of respect for others.
Paolo A. Valenti’s last act as president of APESI – the Italian parents’ association of the Cité Scolaire Internationale de Lyon – was to produce a film as a tribute to the little girls and children who have become the women and men of the third millennium.
